Sewing - Non-Clothing


To help lend to a "period" atmosphere, I made chair covers for a pair of folding chairs.

I also sewed wine bottle covers as gifts. The ties are sewn into the seams so they don't get lost. The one on the left is my first use of the bolt of burgundy velvet I bought years ago. Now I understand what "slippery" velvet means! The white one is made from leftover lining fabric from the houpelande I made.

I made heraldic banners for myself and Meuric when he fought for me in Atlantia's Crown Tournament in May 2005.

The banners are backed with trigger. The blue top half of the field and the charges on my banner are made of satin on a white trigger base, while Meuric's banner is entirely made of blue and white trigger.
